The old home page of Tropical Tablelands Probus website (scroll down) is now replaced with a new picture - President Ted Butler speaking at the final meeting of Tropical Tablelands Probus on 7 March 2017; and then long-term member David Clarke about to stab the farewell cake at a morning tea/ mini wake. The last two monthly Minutes explain.
The Probus Club of the Tropical Tablelands was established in July 1988, for the benefit of retirees living on the Atherton Tablelands, a mixed farming area on a plateau to the west of the coastal city of Cairns. It was a males only Club, however in 2009 it was made a Combined Club.
Members are drawn from the Atherton Tablelands townships of Malanda, Atherton & Yungaburra as well as the districts surrounding them.
The Club meets at 10.00 am on the first Tuesday of each month, with the exception of January. The usual venue for meetings is the Malanda Bowls Club. Visiting Probians are always welcome.
